On Sunday October 20, 2013 I’ll be sharing the stage with Claude Tayag and speaking about Filipino food at the Filipino American International Book Festival in San Francisco. Claude will be giving what is sure to be a very insightful and informative presentation on “Authentic Filipino Food – Is There Such a Thing?,” and I will be there to lend my thoughts and hopefully not look like a complete idiot next to Kuya Claude. I’m very honored to be included on this panel, and I hope to help Kuya Claude continue to shine a brighter light on our cuisine.
The speaking engagement, entitled Culinary Chefs with Claude Tayag, will take place on October 20 from 12:30-1:30 pm at the Koret Auditorium in the San Francisco Public Library. For more information, click here.
After the panel, Kuya Claude and I will be signing our cookbooks starting at 3pm on October 20 in the Philippine Expressions Bookshop booth located outside the library. Claude will be signing his Food Tour, Kulinarya, and Linamnam books at the booth, while I will be signing The Adobo Road Cookbook. That’s a whole lot of Filipino food cookery books in one place! So if you’ll be in San Francisco, do come and check out our panel and then get your books signed! For the full author signing schedule at FilBookFest, click here.

The FilBookFest will run from Friday to Sunday, October 18-20, 2013. There will be other panels and demonstrations that you can attend, and there will be many more Filipino authors that you can meet as well. If you will be in San Francisco that weekend, do come by and check out the festival and show your support for Filipino authors.
